Matkalla venäläiseen Jouluun
Kuten varmasti monet tietävät, ei Venäjällä vietetä Joulua, vaan Pakkasukko (Ded Moroz) tuo lahjat Uutenavuotena. Uusivuosi on siis koko perheen juhla, jolloin vietetään aikaa yhdessä ja pidetään hauskaa. Senhän venäläiset osaavat!
Tämän tapahtuman turvallisuus on viety erittäin korkealle tasolle, enkä ole koskaan vieraillessani Punaisen torin alueen massatapahtumissa huomannut epäjärjestystä. Tästä pitää huolen se, että alueelle mennään metallinpaljastin porttien läpi ja halutessaan vartijat, sekä viranomaiset tarkastavat esimerkiksi käsilaukun ja kameralaukun.
Kremlin ympäristön suuri tapahtuma
Joka vuosi muuttuu Kremlin ympäristö ja Punainen tori, Aleksandrovin puisto, GUMin aukio ja muita lähipaikkoja valtavaksi puistoalueeksi, jossa ihmiset voivat kulkea ja ihailla vuosittain vaihtuvilla teemoilla tehtyjä upeita taideteoksia. Tänä vuonna tapahtuman nimi on “Matkalla Jouluun”.
Tämän alueen suuruutta voi kuvata siten, että Punainen tori, jolla järjestetään myös suuria sotilasparaateja, on vuodenvaihteen aikana kuukauden ajan osa sitä aluetta, jolla sekä moskovalaisten, että heidän vieraittensa on mukava viettää aikaa ja nautiskella yksin, tai yhdessä monista aktiviteeteista.
Ulkomaisista vieraista lienevät kiinalaiset turistit kaikkein useimmin kohdattu ryhmä, mutta myös monista muista maista saapuu turisteja Moskovaan ihailemaan vuodenvaihteen tapahtumia.
Vuoden vaihtuessa on Kremlin suuri ilotulitus. Jos ihmisellä on vähänkään ahtaan paikan kammoa, niin suosittelen tämän ilotulituksen seuraamista hieman kauempaa, sillä vuoden vaihtumisen hetkellä on tungos kova.
Samoin suosittelen tulemaan pienten lasten kanssa vierailemaan muilloin, kuin aivan vuodenvaihteen tunteina keskiyöllä, sillä väentungos ja kova pauke voi pelottaa pieniä lapsia.
Valotaide
Rahasta ei säästetä, kun Moskovan ydin muuttuu eri suunnittelijoiden tekemiksi valoteoksiksi, joiden lomassa on erilaisia aktiviteetteja niitä haluaville.
En ole koskaan väsynyt ihailemaan upeita valotaideteoksia ja koristeltuja kuusia. Suunnittelijoiksi on kutsuttu korkean tason ammattilaisia, ihan yksittäisestä kuusen koristelusta lähtien ja päätyen kokonaisten seinäpintojen valaistukseen.
Luisteluradalla voi luistella vuokrattavilla luistimilla.
Revolution Square -kadulle oli jälleen tehty aina hyvin suosittu tekojäärata, jonne kuka tahaansa voi mennä luistelemaan tekojään sisäänkäynnistä vuokraamillaan luistimilla.
Tapahtuman organisoijan mukaan jäälle mahtuu luistelemaan kerralla jopa 450 ihmistä.
Luistelualuetta voisi verrata ehkäpä suomalaiseen rusettiluisteluun, jossa kaunis musiikki soi taustalla.
Tänä vuonna ei valitettavasti ollut mahdollista päästä ihalemaan luistelijoita ulkopuolelta, kuten joskus aiemmin on ollut mahdollista.
Euroopan parhaat Joulutorit Moskovassa
Moskovaan oli tuotu joulukuussa 2019 näytille Euroopan parhaat Joulutorit. Ne ovat esillä lähes tammikuun puoleen väliin saakka.
Moskova, Kööpenhaminan, Strasbourgin, Nürnberg, Prahan, ja Bern muodostivat yhden ryhmän. Riika, Vilnan, Bryssel ja Wien muodostivat toisen kokonaisuuden, joissa kullakin kaupungilla oli oma selkeä Joulutorialueensa.
Kunkin kaupungin omalla Joulutorialueella oli myytävänä tyypillisimpiä herkkuja ja muita tuotteita.
Esimerkiksi Prahan Joulutorilla oli myytävänä lasituotteita muunmuassa.
Erityisenä huomiona tein sen, että tuotteita ei tyrkytetä ihmisille, vaan leppoisa kanssakäyminen loi kansainvälistä lämpöä, sekä samalla miellyttäviä tuoksuja valmistuvista ruuista.
Moskovan Uudenvuoden tapahtuma on oli tänä vuonna nimeltään “Matkalla Jouluun” ja se kestää kuukauden ajan.
Joulutorilla esiintyy lapset yksin ja ryhmissä, esittäen musiikkia, tanssivat ja lausuvat runoja.
Erilaiset hahmot, kuten lumiukko, Pakkasukko, Lumikeiju ja monet muut ovat mukana esiintyjien ja vieraiden joukossa.
Tapahtuman kestoksi ilmoitetaan russiaequide -sivustolla 13 joulukuuta 2019 – 12 tammikuuta 2020.
On the way to Russian Christmas
Many people know that they don’t have such a Christmas time in Russia like we have in the western world.
But the Russian people have the celebration of New Year and their Mr. Santa named Ded Moroz comes with Snow girl in the New year.
The security of this event has been taken to a very high standard and I have never noticed disorder during my visit to the Red Square events. The reason for this is that the people goes trough metal detectors to the area and security guards and officers can check the bags and camera bags if they wish.
A major event in the Kremlin environment
Each year, the Kremlin and the Red Square, Alexandrov Park, GUM Square and other places turn into an enormous park where people can walk and admire the art and light art changing year by year. This year’s event is called “On the Way to Christmas”.
The magnitude of this area can be illustrated by the fact that the Red Square, which also hosts large military parades, is part of this area during the turn of the year, where both people from Moscow and their guests are enjoying those activities in the area.
The Chinese tourists might be the most visible group when talking the foreign tourists, but there are coming people from many other countries too over to Moscow to admire the New Year’s events.
At the turn of the year, the Kremlin has a big fireworks display. If a person has a little bit of “claustrophobia”, I would recommend watching this fireworks a little bit more far away, because at the turn of the year this area is heavily crowded.
I also suggest to come with small kds in the other times than the hours of chancing the year in Moscow so that the kids does not feel scared.
Light Art
No money is saved when the core of Moscow turns into a work of light by different designers with various activities for those who want them.
I have never been tired of admiring the magnificent artwork and the decorated firs. Designers have been called high-level professionals, starting with a single spruce decoration.
You can skate with rented skates at the ice rink.
Revolution Square was once again a very popular artificial ice rink where anyone could go skating.
You can rent the skates in the entrance of the ice rink and to go to skate.
According to the event organizer, up to 450 people can skate on ice at same time.
The skating area is being opened for all people willing to go skating, with beautiful music playing in the background. The payment of skating is not so high for visitors coming from Europe for example.
Unfortunately, this year it was not possible to admire the skaters from the outside, as it has been possible in past.
Europe’s Best Christmas Markets in Moscow
In December 2019, the best Christmas markets in Europe had been brought over to Moscow. They are on display almost until mid-January.
Moscow, Copenhagen, Strasbourg, Nuremberg, Prague, and Bern are being formed in one group. Riga, Vilnius, Brussels and Vienna are being formed in another group, each with its own distinct Christmas area.
Each town has the Christmas Market area of its own featured with the most typical delicacies and other produce.
For example, the Prague Christmas Market had glass products for sale, among other things.
It is so interesting that selling and being pushy in offering was not at all important there in the Moscow Christmas market “On the way to Christmas”, but the gentle interaction created an international warmth, and at the same time a pleasant aroma of the food being prepared.
Moscow’s New Year event is this year called “On the way to Christmas” and lasts for a month a week.
At the Christmas Market, children perform alone and in groups, performing music, dancing and reciting poems.
Various characters like Snowman, Frostbite, Snow Fairy and many more are featured among performers and guests.
When the year will change there will be a huge fireworks.
It is free of charge to visit this place and I warmly recommend to visit Moscow during the New Year time.
There is something special year by year.
